Clothing & Personal Belongings Policy
Young children learn best through active, messy play — which is why it’s important they come dressed for success. This policy outlines what clothing and personal items to bring, how to label belongings, and what should stay at home to avoid confusion, loss, or safety concerns.
You’ll find guidelines on daily attire, seasonal gear, labeling items, and rules about toys or valuables from home.
👕 Daily Clothing Guidelines
Children should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows for movement and play.
Please avoid outfits that are hard to manage during toileting.
Closed-toe shoes (e.g., sneakers) are required for safety during outdoor play.
🧥 Seasonal Needs
Fall/Winter: Coat, hat, mittens, boots, snow pants
Spring/Summer: Sunscreen (with permission form), sunhat, water shoes (for splash days)
All seasons: Extra set of clothing, including socks and underwear
🧼 Supplies to Bring
Diapers, wipes, and creams (if applicable)
Comfort item (if used at nap time)
Refillable water bottle or sippy cup
🏷️ Labeling Personal Items
All personal items must be clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name.
We are not responsible for lost or unmarked items.
🚫 Items to Leave at Home
Toys, electronics, jewelry, money, and valuables should remain at home unless specifically requested for an activity or show-and-tell.
We appreciate your help in ensuring children are prepared and comfortable for their day. A well-stocked cubby and appropriate clothing make it easier for your child to explore, play, and thrive.
