Holiday / Celebration Policy
At Blessed Beginnings, we believe in honoring special moments in a way that is respectful of every child’s background, family values, and traditions. Celebrations are a joyful part of childhood, and we strive to make them inclusive and meaningful for all.
🎉The following policy explains how we handle birthdays, cultural observances, and special days in a way that reflects our inclusive, faith-based approach.
Birthdays are acknowledged during the day with a song, handmade card, and optional parent-provided treat (must be store-bought and pre-approved).
Parents are welcome to donate a book or small toy to the classroom in their child’s honor.
We welcome cultural celebrations (e.g., Lunar New Year, Diwali, Juneteenth) and invite parents to share traditions, songs, or stories in a simple, age-appropriate way.
No scary, violent, or commercial-themed holidays (e.g., Halloween) are celebrated.
Religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter are not celebrated in a traditional or secular way, but faith-based themes may be discussed (e.g., giving, kindness).
Participation in any celebration activity is optional; alternate quiet activities are available by request.
By celebrating thoughtfully and respectfully, we create shared moments of joy that honor the diversity of our families and the values of our program.
