Inclement Weather / Emergency Closure Policy
The safety of children, families, and staff is our top priority. This policy outlines how we handle closures or delays due to severe weather, natural disasters, power outages, or other emergency events. This section explains how we make closure decisions, how you’ll be notified, and what happens with tuition during emergency closures.
🌨️ Weather-Related Closures
We monitor local forecasts and school district decisions during severe weather (snowstorms, ice, flooding, extreme cold/heat).
If conditions are unsafe for travel or facility operation, the center may:
Open late
Close early
Remain closed for the day
Closure decisions are typically made by 6:30 AM.
🔌 Other Emergency Closures
We may close due to:
Power outages
Loss of heat/water
Environmental hazards
Public health emergencies
Threats to safety (e.g., nearby incidents or evacuation orders)

💵 Tuition and Closures
Tuition remains due during emergency or weather-related closures of three days or less.
If a closure exceeds 3 consecutive days, we may issue partial tuition credits at the director’s discretion.
We do our best to remain open whenever possible while keeping safety our top priority. Please use caution when traveling during severe weather, and always check your messages for updates. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during unexpected closures.
