Late Pick-Up Policy

Children thrive on routine, and timely pick-up is part of building trust and stability. It also respects the provider’s time and other commitments.

The following guidelines explain our expectations for pick-up and what happens when parents are late.

  • If a child is not picked up by closing time:

    1. A late fee of $10.00 per 15-minute block will be charged.

    1. The late fee begins immediately at closing time.

    1. Fees are due at the next drop-off or added to next week’s invoice.

    1. Continued late pick-ups may result in termination of childcare services.

    Communication Requirement

If you realize you will be late, you must notify the provider as soon as possible so we can ensure your child’s safety.  Notification does not waive late fees.

If the parent/guardian cannot be reached after closing time, the provider will follow the emergency contact list. If no contact can be made within 30 minutes after closing, the provider is required to contact local authorities as mandated by DCFS guidelines.

    Chronic Late Pick-Up

Two or more late pick-ups in a 30-day period may trigger:

    - An increased late fee
    - Possible termination of enrollment

This protects the program’s schedule, staffing boundaries, and regulatory compliance.

We understand that delays happen occasionally and appreciate your efforts to honor pick-up times consistently.
